Haroon Chughtai

Haroon Chughtai is a Research Software Developer in the Research Software Development Group (RSDG), where he is part of the Medical Imaging Research Software Group (MIRSG) - a joint initiative with the Centre for Medical Image Computing (CMIC). His work involves management and customisation of research imaging informatics platforms, such as XNAT, and collaborating with researchers in developing and deploying sustainable software. Haroon has experience of clinical environments and digital systems having trained and worked as a Clinical Scientist in UCLH’s Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering department from 2016-2020. He has previously been involved in the delivery of a research software engineering course at UCL, as well as in communities that encourage good software practice in the wider healthcare and research domain.
