Dr. Pérez-Suárez is the training lead for the Research Software Development Group (RSDG), Information Services Division, UCL, a 25-strong group of research software engineers and data scientists, with a track record of training researchers in basic and advanced research computing skills through a variety of courses. This includes Carpentries training to UCL and external researchers since 2013, with more than 700 participants in this period. The team created an MSc-level course on Research Software Engineering with Python, which has been used to train almost a thousand MSc and PhD students at UCL and is now being used by other institutions including the University of Oxford and the Alan Turing Institute
