I am a principal investigator at UCL’s Centre for Medical Image Computing, and I have a longstanding expertise in analysis of large biomedical datasets using statistics and machine learning approaches. My background is in Computational Biology and Statistical Genetics working with human genetic data (genotyping, sequencing and transcriptomics). My research is focused on linking genetic information (genome-wide data) to imaging data (mainly from brain imaging modalities). Furthermore, being an academic in the UCL’s Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering department, I am actively involved in departmental teaching activities on machine learning (as module organiser) and statistics; and I recently taught about 1/3 of lectures at the IEEE Winter School in Imaging Genetics (Verona, Italy, 2019).
