This short course will provide key basics to better understand how key medical imaging modalities create the images and how they are used within research and the clinic.

Objectives

By the end of this course, you should:

1. Understand the basic principles of key medical imaging modalities
2. Critically assess when they should be used.
3. Open and navigate through images using software

Prerequisites

Attendees should have access to a computer with a Mac, Linux, or Windows operating system (not a tablet, Chromebook, etc.). We plan most of the hands on activities to be built on cloud based infrastructure, so there should be minimal computational requirements for your computer.
