IDEAS welcome Mary Tziraki to the team

We are pleased to announce that Mary Tziraki has joined the IDEAS team as the Course Leader. Mary will be responsible for orchestrating and harmonising all of the course content for the IDEAS project.

Mary holds a PhD in Physics from Imperial College London, an MSc in Radiation Physics from the Medical Physics and Bioengineering Department of UCL, and a BSc in Physics from the University of Crete, Greece). She was awarded twice the prestigious Marie Curie Fellowship, the second of which was at the Biophotonics group of the Hamlyn Centre of Robotic Surgery at the Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London.

Mary has extensive teaching experience, for almost nine years, Mary had been a senior Lecturer at the Physics Department of the University of Crete. She has successfully established, managed, designed, and delivered courses in the Physics and Material Science, Biology, and Medicine departments of the University of Crete. The departments and the students biannually evaluated her, and she archived high scores in teaching methodology. Since 2015, she has been working as an independent consultant, holding contracts with companies where she advised and wrote research grant proposals for industry and their academic partners. She has worked as a consultant and business analyst in the finance sector, business analytics and technology. She has advised small start-ups on business plans writing, market entry strategies and business development.
